Chapter 6: Writing Patterns

It seems as though every section ranges, but there is typically always a personal anecdote, which ties into a general topic that leads to a specific point. It started off with a personal account and story, which lead into the topic of infrastructure and then presented a specific point on where the infrastructure of Yantai is headed. The following section started off the same with a personal anecdote, but the personal perspective held through the entire section. Next section kicked off with general facts and then brought in a personal perspective, which ended the section. Then it was facts, personal back to facts before Dodson began his summation of his points in the end of the chapter. It seems like there are three combinations he does while constructing these sections. It is either personal to general facts to specific facts or Personal to general and specific to personal or facts to personal perspective. No matter what he seems to tie in his voice with his facts and research in way to connect to his surroundings and set the scene for his readers while providing information to prove a point.
